The idea for the SANI-Sip Germ Blocking Beverage Lid started in 2019.
As a devoted coffee lover, I cherished my daily coffee runs. But one thing always made me uneasy: watching baristas handle my coffee lid, with their fingers often touching the very spot where my mouth would go. Whether handing me my drink over the counter or through a drive-thru window, it made me cringe every time.
I knew there had to be a safer, cleaner way to enjoy my coffee.
So I set out to design a better lid—one that would keep hands away from the sip area and protect the surface that touches your lips. I went through multiple designs, prototypes, and countless adjustments before landing on the innovative, patent-pending SANI-Sip Lid.
But the SANI-Sip Lid goes beyond protecting you from baristas’ hands. With its unique protective tab, it also shields your drink from flying particles in the air—like people sneezing or coughing nearby—and helps prevent spills and splashes when closed.
